Rishi Valmiki is a beautifully designed program to promote peace and harmony within the community. Though Hinduism is a very scientific religion but because of its distorted interpretation and its twisted practices certain core aspects of it has completely gone for a toss. Such is casteism in Hinduism. Hinduism had been segregated based on its skills of its people which were as good as division of labour as a consequence four major class emerged – Brahmins, Vaishyas, Kshetriyas, Surdas. They were expected to carry forward the work they are best at depending upon their body mind and intellect. However now the real meaning of it has completely changed and taken a shape of inequality among ourselves.
Hence in order to re-establish the unity and equality we have launched a Rishi Valmiki program within the community to promote healthy practices and participation among the people. In this program we perform various activities with the help of which we mainstream the less involved groups with the other groups existing within the community. We perform yajnas and other Holi practices and spread awareness of the meaning of the same.
